Cold, cold, cold

At 0F we had to repair a sewer which was backing up often. After a video camera inspection which we gave us the location of the excavation we proceed in one of the coldest day. The site was in the parking lot.

At the time which we expose the pipe we identified a fiber optic conduit through the hard of the sewer line.

We have some pictures to share with you from the job.

This is winter

After 2 years in the row without a hard winter, this winter is way and beyond. A real winter. Snow, bitter temperatures, nasty traffic, pandemic time overall.

Also in our blog we try to teach in some of the posts to educate people to try to be safe with their plumbing during a hard winter. We try to give tips, to show some steps which home owners needs to follow in order to have a white winter, not a dark one. After 2 days of bitter cold weather, a lot of plumbing problems, burst pipes, clogged drains, broken pipes in the ground. Many of those happened because nobody checked if they are in good shape. Also we mention in previous posts  the temperatures in the rooms less heated not to be below 50F, if possible even 60F when outside temperatures drops below 0F.

We recommend to call for a plumber to check your plumbing if you consider your plumbing is not as good as needs to be.

How?

How do you choose to hire a plumber for your project?

There are few ways to choose the plumber for your project. In the following we recommend the first and the last methods to choose.

1. By recommendation.

We consider is the most effective and secured method of choosing the plumber for your project. First you get the recommendation from someone who already used the plumber in his/her project. Also, the plumbers who are from recommendation are more loyalist to their customers because they want that customer to return with a future project back to them.

2. By truck advertising.

At first sight, this seems to be weird but is not. If you see truck moving around your neighborhood that means those tracks have work and they do a good job. Try it.

3. By advertising.

The last recommended. In those days by advertising is a lot of fake information about performance done by plumbers. Those fake information are most generated by the IT and the sites who sell to contractors their services on internet and MSM. If you choose one of the plumbers in those advertise pages try to ask if they come for free estimate and if they did some work in your neighborhood.
