We had an emergency outside. Collapsed sewer. We did it and the customer/ tenant happy.

                The Plumbing Disaster That Led to the Sinking of U-1206.

A German U-boat, the U-1206, sank in April 1945 due to a malfunctioning, high-pressure toilet system that flooded the vessel, mixed seawater with battery acid to create toxic chlorine gas, and forced an emergency surfacing, leading to its discovery and destruction by British forces. The incident highlights a bizarre, fatal flaw in advanced WWII technology, where a simple human error in operating the complex plumbing led to catastrophic results, forcing the crew to abandon ship with casualties.

Permits and regulations.

 If you wonder why a house is expensive, why a plumbing, HVAC, electrical job is expensive this is why, there are a lot of permits to apply and regulations to follow. And who makes those regulations? People which have no trades experience. They are the most incompetents people on the planet. And do you know who suffer? The owners, the investors, but not them. They increase permits cost, property taxes and they literally kill the existence of the ownership. The owner must know all the permits and regulations are against them, not for them. It is in other words another tax invented by smart people from Yale and put in the field those, the most incompetents people on the planet.

This is a protests and a wake up call. Enough is enough!

JULIE where?

 For over 20 years calling JULIE, the 811 utilities locator was a professional service created to help contractors to locate utilities in digging areas. Emergencies in 2hrs from the notice and 48 hrs for non emergencies calls.

This year someone clearly incompetent changed the rules. There is no more 48 hrs after the call is GOD knows when locators will locate utilities.  Why they changed something perfect? 

Why when something goes well not to go bad?

Stop the tendencies to equalize the society. Accept there are goods and bad.

Now we have inspectors, papers handlers in cities and villages. And by a lot.

When sometimes the life is a joke

 Here is a sample of how to be paperless.

This is the Portal of Buffalo Grove Village. " WE are paperless!" Them not the permit applicant who has to print the permit application fill up the application and then scan and submit to their attachments. Also needs letter of intent signed which means you print sign and scan. Needs drawings and proposal signed by homeowner, which needs to be print signed and scan.

 Recently we installed 2 new next generation toilets. 

Chalenging situation

 When the sewer main from the house is under and extention wall for flowers pad. Question is way like plumber you will change direction of the sewer right at the corner house?

Protecting your home

 Protecting your home by outside flooding can be done only by the flood control system. Here is another one built by our company.

Thieves

 Lately in City of Chicago a lot of thieves still from the plumbers' vans and more than that from the plumbers' shops. We warn the plumbers to be very precocious where they leave their vans. The thieves work in groups of 2,3, they are not young base on what the police officers said to us. 

Also, everyone who is invited to buy at a cheap price the tools we ask to call 911 and find those thieves. City of Chicago in the last 2 administration became a space for thieves and uneducated people. Let make Chicago great how he was. 

Let all the ordinary people know about this to help finding those thieves and not put the plumbing business on the ground.

Late in the year

 This is the first post for 2024. Has been a very busy year for us. We develop a new business in other state, Florida which take a lot of time from our life. We hope in short time to have more posts about our trade.

Laundry sink

 Recently we removed an old concrete laundry sink and replaced with stainless steel 2 components laundry sink. New faucet and plumbing.

Yelp and Google

 Do you really trust in google and yelp or other sites reviews? 

1. Google and Yelp are paid by the companies for their advertising. Which is a good thing. But how Google and Yelp can certify a company? Thay cannot, and this is a real concern when you choose a certified company by those two sites.  Are not those companies being not trusty, but the trade certification is given only by the States or the Cities. 

2. For plumbing, in Illinois, the certification can be done only by IDPH, City of Chicago. Google and Yelp claiming their certification is a fake paid under the advertising.

3. Yelp and Google have multiple phone # which harassing the owners with calls to certify and verify the existence of their companies. 

4. Yelp and Google impose their sponsors to people for doing their projects. Which is ok but is fair, too? 

5. If you will choose the contractor for Yelp and Google probably the best way is to go on lower pages to find good ones, with good prices and being more professionals. We do this when we need subcontractors, we go to page 5, 7, 10 or lower. And we didn't do wrong.

Small replacement

 With minimal damage we replaced the old shower faucet with new single handle faucet. The wall tile we did our best.

100 gallons water heaters

 We recently installed a battery of two Bradford White water heaters with 100 gallons capacities each and 199k Btus. Completely repiping occurs, too.
