Time is the question

It is a long time since we posted the last info. Unfortunately the time is the bad guy here. I kept this blog alone and  because of the volume of work it was impossible to keep you informed with news from plumbing side. Also it was the Google which change their policy. But enough with this. We are back and this is all what counts. Keep close and don't forget to take care of your plumbing. Your health starts there.

The frozen time again.

That time of the year when the leaves are gone, temperature go below freezing is again upon us. Make sure you have the spigot closed and drained, your sewer line is wide open. If the sump pump is working you are ready for winter. We wish you to pass the winter without plumbing issues.

Frozen week in MidWest

The past week was a frozen week for Midwest U.S.. With temperatures below -24F and -55F with wind Chicago and the Subs where in hibernation for about 2 days. Unfortunately once the temperatures climb many frozen pipes start to burst. Unbelievable number of calls for every plumbing company in the Chicago land area. Short stops for plumbers, pipe fixed, move one. But may I ask if this is the solution for people houses? No of course is not. The solution is to prevent, to do it right and no corner cuts in remodeling or new construction. I am saying that because many calls which we had was in not less than 5 years remodels houses, either kitchens nor bathrooms. And that should be really unfortunate for people who invested in their houses. We hope in the future projects you will count for the winter season how will affect the plumbing, too.
